Well, it
has been some considerable time since I updated my blog but I hope you will
agree, it has been worth the wait!
My latest
assignment? - Heading to the
Beverly Hills home of none other than Hollywood
Actor Harry Hamlin! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Hamlin
Depending
on your age, you will know Harry from the film world (Clash of the Titans) or TV shows such as LA Law or, more recently, Shameless. In 1987, People
magazine voted Harry to be the Sexiest Man Alive.
Harry was
such a great subject to work with, first we met for lunch in a local delicatessen
and I had the opportunity to meet his gorgeous wife, the actress and television host Lisa
Rinna (Melrose Place) and their youngest
daughter Amelia.
After
lunch, we headed up to the house to shoot.
The outdoor
area at the house was ideal for working with lots of space and interesting
areas to work. The day was unusually overcast for Los Angeles but this provided up with some nice natural light to work with.
I wanted to
keep this shoot simple and concentrate on Harry rather than worrying about any
fancy lighting set ups. With that in
mind, when needed, I stuck to a one light set up with soft box that was easy to move from location to
location and kept the backgrounds simple to emphasise my subject.
